The idea of a Latin-american super hero is not an alien one. There are a few of them… most prominently Kalimán.

In the 60’s there was this Mexican comedian called Roberto Gomez Bolaños, also known as Chespirito. He had a character called “El Chapulín Colorado” -Mexican for the Red Grasshopper or Cricket.

Back in the early 2000’s i came up with the idea -like many others, i’m sure- to “modernize” the Red Cricket. My version of the RC was to be a mix between Spider-Man, the old Chapulín TV show and the Power Rangers: a mystical, sound based legacy superhero… and thus, my version of the Red Cricket came to be.

This is the first time i published anything regarding this character.
