This is another unpublished strip. It was done way later than the date it has been published here… it was done in hindsight.

This was supposed to be the crazy story of my life in Vancouver.

This idea morphed over time and it is now part of ANOTHER story i am working on, as you read this (in 20018).

Since there are no word balloons, colors and the art is just a sketch, i’ll tell you a bit of what is happening here:

Single Frame: Butter stands on a rock outcropping. The Journey has been a hard and arduous one. It took him a THIRD of his then lived life to get to where he stands now. His cape billows in the wind as he looks down upon the city nestled in a valley. He overlooks the stone buildings, their rooftops covered in the winter snow that only falls far up north. He can see the Docks and the Lion’s Gate Bridge… leading the city’s residents further into the northern reaches. And in the middle, there it stands: The Tower. He is here for this! To be taught by the best Draughtsmen out there. He aims to be among their ranks, and his name to their chronicles…
